Exercise regularly

This year’s physical education entrance exam is coming. In the face of new challenges, I will stick to sports. Life goes on and movement goes on. In this way, on the one hand, we can strengthen our physique, on the other hand, we can reduce the pressure of learning or life.

Subject 1: Long-distance running

Long distance running is not difficult for me. Every weekend, I have time for long-distance running, less about 2 kilometers, more about 5 kilometers. I feel that long distance running requires enduring physical strength and the explosive power of the final sprint. I remember that the first time I went to a foreign school to participate in a long distance race, before I finished a lap, I was bored, and finally came to the end. The teacher said that you should strengthen your exercise in the long-distance running project. So I made up my mind to keep running every day. After training, now, my results are only a few seconds behind the full minutes of long-distance running.

Subject 2: Skipping rope

Skipping rope is harder for me than climbing the sky. The high school entrance exam requires 180 jumps per minute, but I always have about 130 jumps at a time. Faced with the heavy pressure of the entrance examination, I have to muster up courage and go forward bravely. Once, I skipped rope with my classmates. He jumps very fast. He said to me, “Don’t think skipping rope is very difficult, it’s actually very simple. I told you in my composition you that rope skipping has three elements: strong wrist swing, consistent hand-foot coordination, and high concentration of spirit.” I have been conscientious for a long time. After that, I would dance at home for eight or nine minutes every day. Now, my jumping performance is basically stable at about 170. In the middle school entrance examination in the near future, I will be able to jump 180.

Subject 3: Standing long jump

When standing long jump, two meters and five points from the jump line, I always feel that it is out of reach, like an island that can never be reached by sea. In order to achieve good results in standing long jump, I watched some videos in this area, but I always lost my head. Slowly, I insisted on jumping 100 times a day, each time with all my strength. The first time I jumped 2.05 meters, the second time I jumped 2.2 meters. Now, I basically jump around 2.35 meters every day. I summed up three points: first, take-off posture should be in place; second, take-off abdomen in the jump; third, stand up in the jump. I believe that I will jump to 2.5 meters before the entrance examination.

Every day, I keep exercising. This is not only to achieve good results in the entrance examination, but also to enhance their physical fitness. Life goes on and movement goes on. I will keep on exercising.

Make a friend

When you meet someone, you don’t know whether that person is going to become a good friend, so you have to be a bit careful at first.
Friendship is like planting a seed that you’ve found. You are not quite sure what is going to come up so you have to watch it carefully and nurture (look after) it.
Maybe it won’t grow, in spite of your best efforts.
Maybe it will only grow into a weak and sickly plant, or it could grow into a horrible weed and you would have to pull it up.
So what can you do?
1)Hang out where others that you would like to be friends with do and join in with their plans unless you really disagree.
2)If you don’t agree with their plans say so in a positive way, “I like this bit but maybe we could…”
3)Accept people as they are. You can like other people even if you don’t agree with everything they say or do.
4)You don’t have to know about or have an opinion on everything – in fact it is often better if you don’t.
5)Get to know people well by sharing ‘safe’ thoughts with them first. What is a safe thought? It might be something about school or TV or your favourite footy team. It isn’t always safe to tell someone you don’t know very personal things about you, like things you might be worried about or afraid of.
6)Be a good listener so that others can tell that you are really interested in what they are saying.
If you’re lucky the person you meet may become a regular friend or even, after a long time, a best friend.
